Due to Newport Beach, California's vast quantity of both beach front and bay front homes for rent, it is considered the most expensive rental market in the country. Newport Beach is centrally located along the coast, right in the middle of Orange County. Los Angeles is thirty minutes to the north and San Diego one hour to the south – in either direction are some of the finest beaches in the country with some of the nicest communities along the California coast line.
Though the average year round population is around 90,000 residents, Newport Beach grows substantially during the summer months. The population during this time easily hits 100,000 plus 20,000 to 100,000 visitors daily.
Newport Beach rentals are famous for their beach front locations and high end construction and facilities, as well as commonly being within privately gated residential areas that offer privacy to discriminating occupants. With modern shopping facilities such as Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza, a strong business community and quality school system, Newport Beach is a highly desired location. The city surrounds Newport Bay which contains more than 9,000 boats of all types docked within the 21-square-mile harbor. Along the harbor there are excellent opportunities for outstanding sport fishing, swimming, surfing, and aquatic sports activities of all kinds.
Rentals in Newport Beach also have eight islands within its harbor: Bay Island, Collins Island, Harbor Island, Lido Isle, Linda Isle, Little Balboa Island, and Newport Island, which are all strictly residential. The other, Balboa Island, has residential and some small commercial areas.
The Catalina Flyer also departs from the Balboa Pavilion taking you to Catalina Island in just under 45 minutes for a day or weeks of fun in the sun!
Lease rates range in from $1,000 to $35,000 or more. HOAs are not common throughout most of Newport Beach.
